Follow the Krait - HSA Systems

Following the Krait - recognising the exploits of the heroes of Operation JAYWICK in 1943

In 1943 a group of 11 Australian and 4 British army and navy personnel left Australia and travelled 33 days through Japanese-dominated waters in the old fishing boat before sinking 7 Japanese ships in Singapore Harbour and returning to Australia unscathed.

Three ex-Australian Army commandos (members of the Operation Pilgrimage Group) are reliving the "Krait" exploit to raise money for Legacy. Leaving Sydney June 1, 2008 they expect to arrive in Singapore in September 2008, on the 65th anniversary of the original daring attack.

This website will follow the re-enactment of the voyage of the Krait around Australia and on to Singapore this year and log their progress on live maps, pictures and written accounts. The site will also provide links through to the sponsors and supporters of this adventure.
